On 23 August, we welcomed back the first year students in the Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management course at Charles Sturt University to “Elouera”. They were led by their tutor, Brian Cumming, and were putting into practice some of the theoretical knowledge they had already gained in the classroom. Brian took them through some of the fundamentals of assessing the structure of bulls and heifers. We discussed our breeding program, selection of sires, nutrition, feeding and animal health and also touched on marketing. They were an enthusiastic and engaging group and we look forward to welcoming other groups in the future.
